On the occasion ofInternationalHuman Rights Day, 10 December 2012. the Foundation of Local Democracyand sevenmembers of Safe network-nongovernmental organizationsdealing with the protectionof women andchildren victims ofdomestic violence intheircities: Bihac, Modrica, Banja Luka, Mostar, Tuzla, Zenica and Sarajevo-, by street actions wanted to introduce the citizens thatdomestic violenceis one ofthe most serious andwidespreadviolations of human rights.
Throughthe distribution ofpromomaterials (umbrellas, mirrors, shopper bagsand leaflets) and throughinteractionandconversationwithcitizens/onceagainthey remindedthatdomestic violenceis not a privateissueand thatis the legalduty ofeverycitizenifmeet violence to report it.
The campaignwas conducted bythe slogan “Global Campaign16 daysof activism againstgender-baseviolence”withemergencyphonenumbersat the level of FederationBiHand RS.
