The goal of the project is to support women , victims of war in targeted local communities, through free legal, psychological, and economic assistance, but also to strengthen the capacity and knowledge of the institute for free legal assistance in BiH
The project is implemented in the period: of November 15, 2020. – 31.08.2023.
Specifically, with this project, FLD will enable 180 women victims of war to receive free legal aid and support, for 90 empowered women to become active members of their local communities, for 15 women to learn and develop their business plans, 10 women victims of war to receive support for starting their own businesses. businesses, that a group of these empowered women submits an application for a grant to the municipal services, and that a contract is signed with a nearby factory/buying station, which will ensure the self-sustainability of the started businesses. In addition, 100 women of different nationalities will be strengthened to improve coexistence in their local communities, and for this, they will be provided with a meeting place, as well as a playground for their children.
An insight into the capacities and knowledge of the Institute for free legal aid in BiH will be gained, and based on the recommendations of the Expert Team for improving the current situation, a Manual for improving the work of these Institutes will be developed when it comes to free legal support for women victims of the war in BiH. Based on the Manual, five pilot training will be conducted for the employees of the Institute for Free Legal Aid, and the Manual will be distributed as a basis for their improved work with women victims of the war in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
