Representative of the Foundation of Local Democracy, Selma Begić, participated from 3rd to 6th September at the "Collaborating for Impact - Cross Sector Engagement Workshop" workshop in Amsterdam organized by Win Win Strategies, an international organization focused on empowering women around the world.
Building meaningful collaboration requires time, special skills, support and personal development. In response to this need, and in order to position women’s funds, women's organizations as effective partners in working with the private sector, Win Win Strategies has created a four-day custom training workshop to build partnerships between the mentioned sectors.
The main goal of the workshop was to build individual and organizational skills in women's funds and women's organizations to encourage more effective co-operation with private sector partners. During four-day training, participants from India, the USA, the Philippines, Hong Kong, Zimbabwe, Fiji, Nicaragua, Serbia, Kenya and Bosnia and Herzegovina explored tools and practical skills customised for collaboration between Women's Funds, Women's Rights Organizations and the private sector.
"By doing so, we believe that we will be able to accelerate the creation of viable range of co-operation on partnerships between non-governmental organizations and the private sector to enhance and scale private programs for empowering women for long-term and sustainable impact. We hope this "empowerment training" will create an active community for the development and transfer of knowledge, both in the sector of women's rights and in the wider community circle, including individuals from other sectors. Individual participants will also be supported by personal trainings after the end of the program, "said Win Win Strategies.
Thank you Win Win Strategies organization.
