Sarajevo, September 19, 2012 -Activist organisations will celebrate International Peace Day by activity named „ Peace begins with smile“ on September 21, 2012 in front of the Cathedral, under the aegis of Network for peace building supported by USAID. By presenting different activities, activists will sent message of peace and call all citizens to support peace in the world, understanding and coexistence.
This event will take place from 11.00 h to 13.00 h, with media press planned for 12.00 h, after bicyclists of the Club for Extreme Sports arrival on the route Vareš-Sarajevo to bring symbolic „Oath to peace“ from royal city Bobovac to Sarajevo.
The rest of the activities will include distribution of peace flyers and new numbers of Peace news, collecting smiles and peace messages, peace games, facepainting, releasing baloons and pigeons... etc, with participation of numerous activists.
This event is organized by Catholic Relief Services (CRS), Caritas Bishops Conference BiH (Caritas BC BiH),Association for Democratic Initiative (ADI), Youth Initiative for Human Rights (YIHR), International Commission on Missing Persons (ICMP), CARE International, United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), One World Foundation (OneWorldSee), Foundation CURE, Foundation of local democracy (FLD), Foundation for creative development (FKR), Catholic School Center– Medical High school Nansen Dialogue Centre Sarajevo (NDC), NGO of Altruists „ Svjetlo“ , Association of detainees in BiH and Heart full of smile.
