The Foundation of Local Democracy realized the "Let's Speak Up" podcast series

The Foundation of Local Democracy presents the "Let's Speak Up" podcast - a series of conversations that opens up space for the most important, but often silenced, topics. We have conversations that change attitudes, break down taboos and provide support

This series is part of the broader campaign "Let's Speak Up" within the project "EMPOWER HER", implemented by the Foundation of Local Democracy in partnership with the Agency for Gender Equality of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Safe Network, and financially supported by the UN Trust Fund. The campaign "Let's Speak Up" has a clear mission: to raise awareness about the problem of sexual violence in Bosnia and Herzegovina, to break the stigma and empower victims to speak out. Through this series, we explore the reality that women and girls face every day - from the invisibility of the problem to the lack of adequate institutional support.

The Foundation of Local Democracy has produced six podcasts, and on the official YouTube channel you can watch interviews with: Jo-Anne Bishop, representative of UN Women in Bosnia and Herzegovina; Samra Filipović-Hadžiabdić, director of the Agency for Gender Equality of Bosnia and Herzegovina; Arijana Ćatović, psychologist at the Safe House and Women's Center of the Foundation of Local Democracy; Maja Martinović-Muk, head of the DNA Research and Expertise Department of the Forensic Center at the Federal Police Administration; Armina Rovčanin-Osmanović, specialist in gynecology and obstetrics at the General Hospital "Prim.dr. Abudulah Nakaš", and Gorica Ivić, director of the "United Women" Foundation from Banja Luka.

Each of the guests, in their respective fields of activity, spoke about the importance of providing support to women victims of sexual violence in BiH, as well as establishing an institutional framework in response to sexual violence.

The role of moderator was entrusted to experienced television host and editor Nikola Vučić.
