In June, the director of the NGO "Phoenix aid" London, Sarah Greenwood visited the Safe House.
The visit was educational. Director Sarah Greenwood presented a "program of massage for children in schools" which applies in England. She trained employees and beneficiaries of the Safe House in the practical application of massage, which also can be applied in adults.
How is this a type of massage designed for children aged 4 to 12 years as a "tool" to improve children's lives, most of the attention is given to them.
Benefits for the children are multiple, such as: psychological empowerment through a situation from which it will be able to choose to say 'yes' or 'no', and at the same time their decision is respected; relax and reduce stress; helps to recognize and respect borders; improve concentration, achievement and creativity; developing friendships and engagement in activities with peers; exempts harassment.
Also, this massage is very practical because it can be practiced in a school classroom or in a group setting.
The visit by the NGO " Phoenix aid" London to the Safe House is already ongoing cooperation between the two organizations, and as continuation another visit is scheduled for September, when it will be introduced a new form of massage for therapeutic purposes.
