We visited the SSST High School and held a lecture on violence and its prevention

The visit to the SSST Gymnasium was organized as part of the Educational corner for young people at the Women's Center of the Local Democracy Foundation

The team of the Foundation of Local Democracy, led by psychologist Jasmina Buljić, visited the SSST Gymnasium, and gave a lecture to fourth-grade students about types of violence, recognizing violence, but also how to react when it comes to violence, be it psychological, sexual or cyber violence. The students also watched educational video materials about these types of violence, very actively participated in the discussion, and shared different experiences about the types of violence they encountered in their environment.

The visit to the SSST Gymnasium was organized as part of the Educational corner for young people at the Center for Women of the Local Democracy Foundation.

In our Educational Corner, young people can get information about different forms of violence, reporting violence to competent institutions responsible for sanctioning, and about work and experiences of working with victims of violence from a psychologist, social worker, and lawyer. The educational corner also organizes special workshops/education for groups of young people - groups of students.

The educational corner for young people was created as part of the project "For a life without violence in Sarajevo Canton", implemented by the Local Democracy Foundation in cooperation with Medicus Mundi Mediterrania (Barcelona) with the financial support of the city of Barcelona.
