IMPROVEMENT OF THE STATUS OF WOMEN VICTIMS OF WAR IN BOSNIA AND HERZEGOVINA
Foundation of Local Democracy started implementation of project „Improvement of the status of women victims of war in Bosnia and Herzegovina“.

Project is funded by Matra programme of the Kingdom of the Netherlands, and will be implemented from December 1th, 2013 to May 31th, 2015 in cooperation with six (6) partner organisations: Vive žene-Tuzla, Citizens Association Medica Zenica, Association Women Victims of War-Sarajevo, Croatian Association of Camp-detainees-Vareš, Citizens Association Gerc-Sumejja-Mostar and Section of Women Victims of War of Republic of Srpska.
 
Through a planned programme of activities this project aims to enhance the status of women victims of rape and torture who testify before Courts in a way that the victims/winesses are provided with legal and psychological assistance before, during and after trials. With strenghtened capacities of NGO's providing support for victims, this project will establish cooperation between civil society organisations and as well governmental institutions towards greater access to protection and justice of victims, strenghtening of relevant legislation and the Rule of Law.
